POINTED ARCH DOORS AND OTHER TUDOR DETAILS SET THE MASTER BATH OF A HOME IN BRONXVILLE, NY, APACE WITH WHITE ACCENTS AND CLEAN FINISHES

COUPLING CONTEMPORARY WITH GOTHIC DESIGN was the goal of Susan Alisberg and S. Edward Parker at their eponymous architectural firm when renovating the bathroom of a Tudor-style abode in Bronxville, NY. To start, they covered the walls in a cream handmade subway tile accented with white liner. For the floors, they chose white limestone and a tumbled glacier mosaic to act as a complement to the dark-stained oak pointed arch doors. Other details took their cues from those doors—twin stained-oak vanities, topped with white marble counters, were placed on either side. The vaulted ceiling, another Tudor touch in the home, enhances the high pitch hip roof of the home's exterior and gave the team just the spot to hang a contemporary chandelier. A Waterworks Empire tub sits in front of the room's window and overlooks the yard. The shower and TOTO toilet are nicely separated, with one on either side of the bath.
