EDITOR'S LETTER
We bundled up, put our then year-old daughter into a backpack and trudged into the snowstorm on foot. We arrived wet but exhilarated and ready to bake. Under the watchful eye of my friend's mother, we began our assembly line of mixing, baking and packing up several varieties of cookies. The afternoon flew by with lots of laughs, a wonderful scent wafting through the house and, most importantly, fond memories.
Whether it's cutting down a tree, caroling or hosting an annual dinner party, we all share special events and rituals that bring both meaning and memory to our lives, year after year. This season, follow a tradition you remember from days past or, more importantly, start your own. It is, after all, from the ordinary that we experience the extraordinary. Make your holidays extraordinary!
