Former Citigroup CEO Charles Prince has put his Tudor-style on the market. Located on 2.3 acres in Greenwich, the half-timber manse "no longer meets his needs," realtor Tom Gorin, of Cleveland, Duble & Arnold, said about his client. Prince was deposed from Citigroup in November as the country's largest bank was facing its worst year ever, writing down $18 billion. But because he chose to retire rather than have his crown forcibly removed, Prince exited with a package worth a reported $60 million—enough, apparently, to trade up from this extremely nice manse. It features soaring, barrel-vaulted ceilings, herringbone wood floors and pretty French doors that lead from the formal rooms to a series of terraces. Upstairs, the master suite has a separate sitting room with a fireplace, a marble bath with steam shower and whirlpool and a Juliet balcony. Gorin can be reached at (203)-869-0866.
It's an understatement to say that the builders of this new gated-community home did not skimp when it came to finishing its interiors. The Valley Ridge residence is the result of a partnership between Klaff's, the high-end Fairfield County design stores and Greyrock Homes. The amenities found in the 4,366-square-foot "Klaff's House" start with a Shaker-style kitchen and great room, a walnut hearth, a La Cornue range and antique white-painted cabinetry. The bathrooms are fitted with massage tubs and steam showers. There's also an elevator, wine cellar, massage room, house-wide audio system, outdoor masonry fireplace and in-ground lap pool and spa. Outside, the deck has a spiral staircase leading to a garden-level bar and entertainment area. The sales office at Valley Ridge can be reached at 203-509-1949.
