MEET THE DESIGNER

Linda Ruderman-Rosier

Since this is our fashion issue: favorite fashion designer? I really don't have one. I love to mix classics with new and interesting trends. For me it's about the textures, colors and the way the fabric is draped or tailored, just like in interior design. How much is interior design influenced by fashion and vice versa? Interior design follows fashion. If chartreuse is hot on the runway for spring, we will see it in our resource showrooms soon afterwards. When there became an awareness about organic and eco-friendly fabrics in fashion, the interior design industry was quick to get in on this development. Men's suit fabrics upholster chairs and walls; Missoni and Oscar de la Renta have fabric lines for interiors. Can we even count how many fashion designers have done a home linen and accessory line?!
