When designing a home, where do you usually start? Always with my initial client meeting. Listening to clients' needs and getting to know their everyday routine is a crucial element to creating a working relationship. How do you know when a project is finished? When everything is in place, down to the last accessory, and it has been published. Describe your signature—what makes your designs yours? Clean lines and surfaces, as well as organized and innovative ideas. I enjoy replicating the classics with today's sources.

What is no room complete without? Exceptional lighting. I love sourcing new and exciting fixtures and custom designing my own light fixtures to enhance the mood of every room. What's your favorite part of your own home? The kitchen, because it's where everyone comes together. Mine has the comfort of a family room; I incorporated a rug and furniture to bring in a warm, intimate feeling. If you could live a day in the life of anyone, past or present, who would it be and what would you do?

Ludwig Mies van der Rohe because he was a man who was able to work in all styles, from traditionalism to modernism, and execute each one perfectly. I would love the opportunity to work alongside his contemporaries, the great architects Walter Gropius and Le Corbusier, and discuss the homes and furniture they designed. What do you like to do in your spare time? I have several passions—cooking, which is my way to relax any time of day, and restoring antiques from my travels. My home is all white, so I love painting furniture white—I love the clean look of an all-white home that uses colors as accents.

What do you wish someone would ask you to design for them? I always enjoy designing master suites. I also love how detailed and customized a well-executed closet can become. Sometimes the most unexpected places become the most exceptional. Do you have a design mantra? Make every home a creative transformation from the beginning to the end. How about advice for living life in general? Enjoy it to the fullest!
